About Us
My name is Mike Burstein. I am originally from Philly, and moved to Lynchburg, Va. in 1984. I have been teaching music since 1986 professionally. I own and operate a recording studio. I have been playing guitar, bass, and drums for over 30 years. I believe I have the ability to help you become a better player. I would love to talk to you more about this. - In Sept 2006, I was asked to play for the National Cancer Society’s Relay For Life with Paul Hermosa. We played to a full house in front of the Capital Building in Washington D.C.
- I was the featured story in March 2004 issue of Guitar One magazines’ “Tales from The Woodshed” with Paul Gilbert from Racer X, Mr Big, and Solo Artist.
- I have played on the same stage as Robben Ford, Rick Derringer (Hang On Sloppy, R&R Hoochie Koo), Oteil Burbridge (Bass Player for the Allman Brothers Band), as well as many other world renowned musicians.
- I play guitar and bass on the worship team at Redeemer Presb. Church in Lynchburg, VA.
- I am currently an adjunct Instructor at CVCC
- I am currently writing and recording original material for my 2nd Cd.
